We made our trip today to see Santa. We went to an event at the Zoo called Cupcakes with Santa. We arrived a bit late (due to Linc's nap) and made a quick cupcake & then went to hear a story - The Santa Mouse, and then we met a chinchilla that Carter refused to touch, although believe it or not, I really wanted to pet it. We then made some crafts, a jingle bell to call Santa, a picture frame for our picture with Santa & a glittery ornament.
Carter's letter to Santa said:
Dear Santa,
I've been pretty good this year, well mostly.
I'd like 5 things for Christmas.
Love,
Carter
Of course the 5 things are unspecified - he just likes to say 5 things!
We concluded our trip with the actual Santa visit and we were the last ones to go see Santa. Linc sat but not long enough for a picture and Carter sat down with Santa but didn't really converse with him. Here are some pictures.

We went to the mall today with some intentions of seeing Santa. Dusty didn't have the patience for the line so he's making me take Jackson on my own during the week while he's at work. Anyway, I'm so curious to see what Jackson's reaction will be because we learned today that he is very afraid of stuffed rocking horses! On 2 occasions in the mall he had the opportunity to ride on one and he was NOT having it. Then PB Kids had a stuffed rocking reindeer. As soon as Jackson saw it, he clung on to Dusty for dear life and began to cry. It was hilarious and it amazes me! Where do these fears come from??
