Our house has been greatly enhanced by the addition of Ms. Kitty - the pet that doesn't belong to us, but comes from 8 AM until her "parents" pick her up around 8 PM - in addition to just being a great cat, she's the best pet - no food or vet bills attached. Every morning the boys get up and want to see if she's here yet and every nap time Carter asks to sit on the front porch with her, sometimes he will rock her in the chair while she rests. She is a bit too fond of laying in my plants but it is a small price to pay for my boys to ALMOST experience having a pet.
