The rest of the day...

This is what Carter constructed while the rest of us napped on Easter day - it is some sort of fort built from random items in my bedroom - we did agree to turn on the t.v. for him after I realized he was gathering many, many items that would then have to be put away! Notice the Easter eggs in his sock he placed in the middle with some pictures - he even decorated this fort.

The boys were so excited about the bunny visit this year - maybe even more so than Santa's. Carter said he could barely go to sleep because he was SO excited. Lincoln barely did go to sleep, he slept and was up at 4 to go to the bathroom and started his egg hunt then, somehow Sean contained him until about 6 when the rest of the house was forced into Easter action and the egg hunt proceeded (after I put some of the eggs back that Linc had piled up before the official start of the hunt.) The bunny had LOTS of eggs this year, we were finding them all day long!

Carter has a very specific theory about where the bunny lives - he's certain that the bunny lives in Oregon like his friends Robby & William. He says that the bunny would like it there because there are lots of outdoor things to do and it would be a good place for him. I couldn't disagree with this theory and since I've never heard an official residence of the bunny I think we will go with Oregon!

Catcher Carter

Carter played catcher at last week's t-ball game, pretty scary for me - I was afraid he'd get hit by a bat or ball because he wasn't really paying all that much attention! The bottom pictures is the little sisters, Molly & Kayla (Jack & Karston's respectively) and Lincoln watching their big brothers. These three will be in preschool together next year and are practicing their playing skills while the big brothers play t-ball. We are so lucky to have met some really great families!

We seem to be taking one step back with Lincoln on bedtime ritual - this is how I found him one night last week! Now for the 2 steps forward....

A Kite that Flies!

We've had our share of kites that we couldn't get off the ground but the one we picked out yesterday went right up. Linc had a little trouble getting it up (it is his kite) but Carter flew it fantastically!

We got to egg hunt last week, thanks to the Strope's letting us crash their egg hunt! It is so much fun now that they understand how to hunt!
