Brotherly love

Lincoln is just full of adventure lately. Here are a few of his new tricks - he's learned how to climb on top of his chair in the living room (little kids sized chair) he loves to stand there and drum on the back of it. A few days ago he accomplished his goal of making it to the top of the step stool in the boys' bathroom - he loves to climb up, stand up and look at himself in the mirror, of course this scares the daylights out of me because he's on the tile floor. And yesterday he stood long enough for it to be called standing on his own! He can also take a few little steps toward someone but usually ends up kind of diving for them - but he is well on his way to being a walker.



I took him last weekend to have his little feet measured, well little isn't exactly the word - he needs a 5.5 double wide!!! Compared to his brothers skinny little feet (sz. 7) this was a shocker!



Lincoln is so in love with his brother it amazes me every day, it is like I keep waiting for him to get bored with Carter and he never does. Here is a picture of the delight that Carter brings to Lincoln, don't get me wrong Linc gets a bit frustrated and needs mommy from time to time but he is also learning how to defend himself with C - he got a big bite into him this week and you should have seen the big brother tears!

The Boys & The Bears

Well the Hogan boys finally made it to Chicago - they had a good time in spite of the loss! Here are a few pictures of them being tough (that is what the arms being crossed is about, I hear).

Daddy & Doodle

There has been much debate about the looks of Lincoln since he was born but last night I found a picture that says it all! He is 100% a daddy look-a-like, we found a picture from Sean's 1st birthday and the profile is totally Lincoln, they may not be exactly the same from the front, although he did look a lot like some of Sean's baby pictures (yes Sean was actually chunky if you can believe that!) but the profile is totally on. We showed the picture to Carter this morning and he said that is Lincoln playing with my football! We also noticed in Sean's baby book that he and Lincoln both weighed 8 lbs. at birth and were 21 inches long - Sean says this makes them tight!

Cruisin'

Lincoln loves to talk on the walkie talkie in the truck. His little feet don't touch the floor yet so as they drive around his head is always bobbing along.

When Linc was a newborn he had the cutest sneeze I've ever seen in my life - I wasn't real successful on catching it with the camera then - but I got this one!

Brothers!

Carter is thrilled to be the big boy and get to be the driver "only big boys drive" he told me the other day.

Crash!!! Daddy had to tow the out on this one they were high centered on a rock!

Go ??????? Go!

While looking for a newborn picture of Lincoln I found a video that I know my dad would like to have for his viewing pleasure right now. This was from last fall when my parents had Carter for the afternoon and taught him some anti-Hogan-Bears slang so to speak.

So in light of football season - Go Packers Go & Go Bears! The boys and I may always wear 4 colors to keep the Grafs & the Hogans happy, although watch out Mimi the boys will likely be Bear-washed before too long!

Our word of the day is Incredible! Carter has decided his bouncy ball is incredible but it sounds a little more like in-creb-able - everywhere it goes it's increb-able. Sorry I don't know how to rotate the video - you'll have to turn your head!

Learning to Drive!

Well now that he is 3 Carter is learning to drive! Grandma and I found a little truck this weekend for the boys to drive. I must say they looked pretty cute on their tour of the neighborhood today. Carter doesn't really realize he must steer but I think we will get that taken care of - Lincoln on the other hand is going to be lucky to not get whiplash from his brothers tendency to break!
